The South African government, in an attempt to create jobs and grow the economy, has identified small business and the formal sector as vehicles for job creation and economic growth with entrepreneurship one of the most important elements for a growing economy. R&S sees itself as a future contributor to economic growth through leadership, management, innovation, effectiveness, job creation, competitiveness, productivity, and the formation of new viable and sustainable EME’s.
R&S aims to impact positively on the entrepreneurial experience of young educated, skilled or semi-skilled South African EME’s who ordinarily do not have the necessary resources such as; financial capability, access to markets, infrastructure, lack of office management skills, Health and Safety compliance knowledge, etc.
We aim to enhance the mentees’ entrepreneurial development journey which will include formal and informal mentoring and training to become an in depended entrepreneur and vendor for R&S and successfully start a small business that is viable and sustainable, and become valuable contributors to the South African economy.
EME’s will be required to successfully complete all R&S minimum entry requirements to be eligible in becoming a registered EME contractor / vendor for R&S.
